Step 1 of 4
Add the plugin
In any Claude Code session, in the desktop app or the terminal, run these two commands.
Add the marketplace. It points Claude Code at the public repository.
Command 1/plugin marketplace add markfulton/ai-employeesInstall the plugin. It adds one skill, /ai-employees:hire, to every session.

Hire an employee
Say it in plain words, with the folder you want it in. Or run /ai-employees:hire and it asks.
Name the employee and a local folder.
Say thishire the GTM Engineer into D:\AgentOps\gtm-engineerPick a folder outside OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or iCloud. The skill refuses a synced folder, because a sync client can corrupt the run log mid run.
It copies the kit from the plugin with no download, runs three self tests and checks you are signed in.

Install it from its folder
Open a fresh Claude Code session in the new folder and say one line.
Start the install.

It stops once, to show you its first drafts.

Read the next morning's brief
The next weekday, open brief-latest.md in the employee's folder.
Three parts: today, waiting on you, blocked. It is the one file to read.
A new line in runlog.jsonl from a run you did not start means the schedule works.
What you are installing
One skill that copies files. Everything else is yours to start.
The plugin
- Adds one skill, /ai-employees:hire, to every Claude Code session.
- Carries all eight kits and the installer, so a hire needs no download.
- Copies one kit into a folder you choose and runs its self tests.
- Hands you the one line that starts the install.
It never
- Registers a schedule. The employee does that itself, from its own folder, after you start the install.
- Sends, posts, submits or spends. Every routine stages the work and leaves the last click to you, until you release a channel in RELEASES.md.
- Types a password, a payment detail or any credential.
- Calls a server of ours. No account, no tracking, no hosted runtime.

After the hire
They get better at your business every run.
Corrections
Every kit file ends in a Corrections section that the routines read at the top of every run. One dated line there outranks the text above it from the next run on.
Self repair
When a page it works on changes, a routine fixes its own instructions, keeps the text it replaced so you can undo it, and tells you in the next brief.
Upgrades that keep your work
Once a month the brief says when a newer kit is out. The upgrade reports what would change and never overwrites a file you edited.
To direct one, open a session in its folder and tell it what to do in plain words. It leaves the same trail a routine would.
Prefer a download
Same kits, without the plugin.
Download the repository and copy one folder from employees/, or let the installer do it. Then open your agent in that folder and say the line from step 3. This is also the route for the ten other agents the kits run on.
